Done in Norfolk
Russ is officially done working in Norfolk, VA. I had flown out there a couple weeks before the final moving day. Because of that, I missed my mother's birthday party at Colette's place. I hope she had a good celebration!
I had arrived early so we could do some touristy things. I had wanted to go to the ocean during some weather that wasn't super cold or rainy. The last times we had gone to the ocean it was so rainy that we couldn't see the ocean and it was cold and breezy so we couldn't enjoy it.
.
This time it was breezy. But I've come to the conclusion a calm day at an ocean beach must be rare. We did enjoy our visit this time. It was cool, but not too cold.
.
We went to a National Seashore along Cape Hatteras (as seen on the sign in the picture. Our travel time seemed quite extensive considering we were on the east coast to start with. The Seashore is developed quite extensively for shopping and tourism that finding a public beach was quite difficult.
Here Russ captured me sauntering along the beach, next to the waves. One thing I noticed about salt water is that it feels sticky.
