Saturday Taxes

Today Russ did our taxes. This has been a taxing event. (Pun intended) :). He was going to do taxes about a month ago. But we misplaced some important forms. He had to inquire about getting replacements. (Thus the taxing time.) After receiving the replacements (and putting away right away, for fear of misplacing again) Russ was able to get to them today.

With three states for which to file, the taxing time continued. Russ had hoped to save some money and fill out the paper forms. But, with the confusing forms, Russ chose to order the State Turbo Tax. After doing so, he stated that he was glad he did. He said he would have missed things that Turbo Tax made clear by asking the right questions. Thus, with the right software, Russ finish doing taxes around 3 this afternoon. (He started before 9 a.m.) With that time well spent, we're even getting some money back!

The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing. Tomorrow, Justin comes home with the intent of doing his taxes and filling out FAFSA. He even stated he wants a haircut. Should be another taxing but yet enjoyable day! :)
