Corinne Arrives at Fairfax Nursing Home (N.H.)
I got down to New Ulm Hospital about 10:30 this morning. Corinne was ready to go. We headed to Fairfax shortly after that. I kidded her that we were going to go to Mankato and make today a big shopping day. She agreed full heartedly -- HUH!
We arrived at Fairfax N.H. just before their noon meal. Ronny met us there. We three at the noon meal together. Then, Ronny headed on his way to do what he had to do and I stuck around to help with the rest of the settling in - paperwork and any other stuff we could think needed to be tended to.
I left I suppose around 2 p.m. Then I headed down to Sleepy Eye to get Doobie's meds. Then, when I got back home David was ready to head down to New Ulm. David got all his things together (including the new baby kitty) into the car. And then we headed to New Ulm to meet his ride share.
After dropping off David, I headed back to Fairfax to pick up a few things at Corinne's house and then headed back to the N.H. By that time it was supper time. After supper, Corinne and I looked through the paper work to find the stuff she needed to give the N.H. and I tended to giving the correct person the necessary paperwork. After all those necessary things were done, we chatted awhile. And then I headed for home, leaving Corinne behind, chatting to a lady she knows in the hall (around 7 p.m.).
I think Corinne will be just fine during her stay at N.H. She will be staying there for approximately 2 weeks, just long enough to get her strength back into her left leg (the one with the new knee). They will make sure she will be able to fend mostly for herself before they release her. Her next Dr. appt is April 7th. So I'm pretty sure she won't be released before then (especially since the plan is that I pick her up at the N.H.)
