Our 4th Of July Celebration

Russ and I took a 4th of July dinner cruise on the Duluth harbor. We saw lots of sites that were quite interesting. If you ever have a chance to take a Vista Fleet cruise, go for it! Its lots of fun and quite informative. The one we went on had the most fabulous meal before the majority of the informative cruise. After offloading the dishes, the boat took us back out in the harbor, with the captain giving more information. He made it last long enough that the tour finished at dusk. Then we watched the beautiful fireworks. I've included a short video of some of the fireworks. The video doesn't do it justice, but its still pretty good.

The amphetheater (to the north of DECC) was filled with celebrating people. We found out as we were leaving that, in that vacinity, a carnival was taking place.

Enger Tower in the distance.

We are offloading the dinner dishes here. The girls are waiting for another crew member that is on land to tie off the boat.

A view of Grandma's resteraunt from the Harbor.

Here, I take a picture of the lift bridge with Russ looking on.

Another view of the lift bridge. One doesn't get to see this view often. So, I had to make sure I got a picture of it.

The boat cuts through the water.

The U.S. coast guard boat.

View of bridge as going under.

Grain elevators in Harbor. I believe that they are in the mouth of the St. Louis River.

The following is a composite of videos I took of the fireworks. Like I stated, earlier, it doesn't do it justice. But, it does give you an idea of what we experienced.
