Ladies' Aid
Today I prepared and served lunch and prepared and gave devotions for Ladies' Aid. Cooking and straightening out the kitchen took most of my time in the morning. (Caring for Virginia also took a bit of my time).
Ladies Aid started at 2 p.m. Thus, I arrived at church shortly after 1 p.m. so I could start coffee and set up. We finished and were done so that I was home by about 4.
The rest of the evening I spent caring for Virginia and Doobie, and quilting. I also talked to Russ for nearly an hour. Amongst other things, we discussed that I would stay home on Friday evening to care for Nicholas. Russ will get a ride home from the airport via David and Adrienne. They are coming home for the wedding, leaving Duluth around 3 p.m. Thus, Russ will probably have to wait an hour after his plane arrives (assuming it arrives on time at 4 p.m.)
I'll then be home when Duane and Steph arrive. They need to be at the wedding rehearsal since they are ushers. So, my babysitting Nicholas will come in quite handy. I think Nicholas and I can explore the behavior of a kitten while they are busy. Thank God I have a small carrying cage for Virginia. That has come in handy up to this point to keep her confined so I don't have to wonder where she's at when I need to give my attention elsewhere. And, I think it'll come in handy when I need to give my full attention to Nicholas.
