Taking it Easy
I didn't do much today. Well, maybe you can say I did. But, I took it easy while doing it.
I started out the day quite slow. I wasn't planning much to do. But, as the day wore on, I considered getting my sewing machine and quilting station set up again. I had put it away last winter for the holidays so I'd have room for our Christmas gathering. But, since Mom took me along on the quilt shop hop yesterday, I've gotten the quilt bug again. I have lots of projects that I'd purchased on last year's quilt shop hop. So, I think I need to get those done before I can allow myself to buy anymore projects. I did buy one small project yesterday. So, I feel I must get back to the sewing machine.
Besides, I think tinkering on those projects will be just what I need to get motivated to get my daily chores and some outdoor things done. Nothing like an old dormant hobbie revived to get the juices flowing again!
So, I got my quilting station set up and started working on an old project. I hope to get that one done soon. I pinned the back, batting and top together. And then I started machine quilting it. It's only a crib size. But, they take time to get done too. I think, with some puttering on it throughout the week, I should be able to get it done by the end of the week.
