Daycare Closed - Duane & Steph

Duane's & Steph's Daycare was closed today, due to a death in the family. Thus, I babysat Nicholas today. We had a lot of fun. I got him to giggle and smile a lot. He also rolled over from his tummy to his back a couple times. It doesn't take him very long to do this either. Because of his speed, it surprised me to find out that he has been officially doing this only since this past weekend. He does it with such grace and speed, I thought he'd been doing it for quite some time!

Since he's just started with this roll over, Duane hasn't had his chance to see him do it much. After Steph came home from work today, Nicholas rolled over for her a couple times. But, by the time we had a chance to try to have Nicholas "perform" for Duane, he wouldn't do it. Oh well, maybe he did it after I left.

In addition to this rollover progress, he's growing like a weed! When I first held him today, he seemed like he'd grown super tall! I don't notice his weight being much different. But, since he's truly a solid boy, a pound here or there isn't going to be noticed greatly.

And talk about squirmy! I swear he slows only when he's about ready to fall asleep. It doesn't matter if he's laying on the floor or sitting in your lap. He's moving. When laying on the floor, I swear he's put 5 miles on (if he could use his motion to motivate forward). When sitting on the lap he squirms. This probably is normal for most children. But since Nicholas is so big, I find my little lap has a hard time keeping him in place.

I want to share photos and videos that I took today, but my time is limited at this moment. I'll share them in a day or so. Tomorrow, I need to do some bookwork that I've procrastinated on. So, I may not get this done till Wednesday. Oh well, it'll be something to look forward to.
