Corinne Update

Since Denny didn't need my help this morning, I could tend to a couple of Corinne's needs this morning. She needed some clean clothes and a couple other items from home. Thus, I took those things to her. When I arrived at the nursing home, she was in physical therapy. So, I put her clothes away in the closet while she was doing that. I was about done when she came back to her room. Her knee was swollen. So the P.T. person got a couple cold packs for her. She laid on the bed, with the cold packs on her knee while she and I chatted.

She said the therapy is coming along. She can now go to the bathroom without assistance - a welcome ability. I can't be positive, but I think she said that the therapy is getting a bit more intense every day. But, she keeps working on it. Her plans are that when she goes home she doesn't need anyone there to help her. She doesn't want to be a burden (typical of her). She is also concerned that, since field work will be starting soon, we won't have the time to help her much. Be sure to give her a call, if you can't stop in, while she is at the nursing home. She doesn't have much to do and I think she gets bored. Also, like Ronny mentioned to me, she probably doesn't get much intelligent conversation from the other residents.
