Aunt Lorraine Not Doing Well

The following is a letter from Mom of which I received today:

"Hi You'll This a note to say that last night they did not think Lorraine was going to make it through the night. And today she has come around but like Dave [Lorraine's son] said it is hr by hr. She is alert and communicating. she has oxygen now and other intravenous meds and she got antibiotics last night. she has had palettes yesterday and more to day. her white count is 60,000 and if gets up over 100,000 that could be the end. just letting you know Mom"

I haven't made mention of the fact that Lorraine Potter, Mom's sister is ill yet. (I haven't been able to figure out how to start the post.) Verna made mention to this in her "The Good and the Bad" entry (2nd paragraph). Lorraine has Acute Leukemia and has known since approximately April 24th.

This disease acts very quickly. And Lorraine is very close to the end. My condolences go out to Lorraine and ALL of her family. I include here a picture of Lorraine that was taken at Anna's baby shower back in March, 2006.
