Recovery Coming Along

This morning I got up at my scheduled time. But this time it wasn't to get Nicholas off to daycare. It was to be available to do so. You see, Duane and Steph know that they won't have me hanging around forever (as I'm sure they take pleasure in that thought). No, I didn't get Nicholas ready for daycare. Duane and Steph did. But, I hung around in the background for the just-in-case.

They did a great job teaming up on Nicholas, getting him ready. Duane and Nicholas were out the door at around 7 a.m. Just before they walked out, Steph looked back at the clock and checked. She commented to the two that they made it. They got going on time.

I don't know what time Duane and Steph got up to tend to Steph's wound. But, they got it figured out. I know this because when I got up at 6:45 and then dressed and headed up stairs, they were done dressing her wound and were already in Nicholas' room doing their teamwork.

Because of this, I'm feeling they probably won't need me here all week. I'll discuss that matter with them tonight. So, I'm thinking Steph will surely want to be sure to take (hopefully uninterrupted) naps today and tomorrow. Because, I don't think I'll be here past tomorrow.

I can tell Steph is starting to feel better and better too. It seems her energy is coming back. She started laundry this morning after her two men went on their way this morning.

On the agenda today: The home health care nurse will be stopping by this a.m. to check on Steph's wound. And this afternoon, weather permitting, Steph and I will take James to the Newborn clinic - where they provide a service for newborns to check weight and see how newborns are doing and answer any questions new parents may have.
