So What did I Do Yesterday & Today?

Hmmm. Thought I didn't do much yesterday. But, I started thinking about it and listing off items in my head. It kinda went like this.

My Dr. Apt for the Lab test results was scheduled for 10 a.m. I wasn't going to do much before I left. I hate starting something and having to stop in the middle of it. There's a good chance I won't finish it. But ....
I did some picking up in the living room and dining room. I needed to vacuum. So, if I just putzed with that, I'd be sure to get back to it eventually. Vacuuming always needs to be done. But, as I said, I putzed. I caught some t.v. during most of it.

Then I went to the Dr. Apt. The results???
..... The tests for my cholesterol, liver, and iron were all good.
..... But, my thyroid numbers weren't good. Doc did some tweeking on my prescription. I'll have to go back in about 6 weeks to have that retested.

I headed to N.U. after the Dr. Apt to get the prescription filled. I hung around Walgreens while they filled it. Then I went to Runnings to look for some springy thing that is supposed to be attached to a tile marker flag. I didn't have any luck with that. But, I noticed Runnings has their chicks, ducklings and goslings available for sale.

I've got the bug. I'm seriously considering getting some chicks for meat chickens. I did a little research while there. I found out they are supposed to be meat ready in about 2 months. Also, Runnings sells all the food I'd need. (Now that we don't have dairy animals any more, I wasn't sure how I'd get the feed. Mom always used the cow feed to get her chickens up to meat weight - something that we doesn't have anymore.) So, if I can stay home, without any extended stays anywhere, I should be able to do this. Need to talk it over with Russ before I take on this venture, though.

After that, I headed to Walmart. I wanted to get a toaster oven. I'd been considering it for quite some time. I found one there that I interested me. After some contemplating, I picked it up. While there, I picked up a couple other items we needed.

Then I headed to the gas station to fill the car with gas. After that I headed home.

Somewhere during the day (can't see what I'm doing. Ginny is sitting in front of the screen.) Somewhere during the day, I checked the litter box and while in the basement, found the filter for the fish pond fountain needed cleaning. So I did that. Ate my noon meal sometime after that (she laid down now. now I can see.) I don't know exactly when I vacuumed. But, I did that too. I even found time to install Turbo Tax, get the updates and download the two States income tax thingies too (MN & VA) and their updates. I'm sure I found time to catch some t.v. during these times too.

Somewhere around 8 p.m. I talked to Russ too.

As for today, I spent most of the morning procrastinating by playing some games of Spider (computer card game). After I was done procrastinating, I caught up (most of the way) with the bookwork - both personal and farm. (Of course, I had the t.v. on while doing bookwork. I feel isolated in this room if I don't have the tube on.) Russ called me around 4:15 p.m. and let me know his boss asked him if he wanted to leave at 3:30 p.m. (2 hours early). Russ took them up on the offer and was on his way when he called me. He must be near Fargo about now (8:15 or so). I should see him around 11 p.m.

Mom called me today too. We discussed fabric - what I have and what she has. We are both working on projects using the 2008 MN Shop Hop material. While finishing up with the conversation, Mom mentioned something about the girls basketball tourney on channel 45 (KSTC-TV 45). Cedar Mountain (Morgan/Franklin Schools) was playing and she saw them going into overtime. Well, that was pretty much the end of our conversation. Although neither of us are huge sports fans, the fact that Cedar Mountain was going into overtime peaked our interest. I can't vouch for her, but I finished the game (while doing bookwork). Cedar Mountain won!

After talking to Russ and finishing what bookwork I was going to do (and getting a bite for supper), I took a walk down to end of driveway to get the mail. It was about 7:30 when I headed down. I got back, and here I am. Posting my activities for yesterday and today. And here I thought I didn't do much these two days!
