Beautiful Day

What a beautiful day. Not only did David, Adrienne, Russ, Justin and Nicky come home last night. But the weather was beautiful to boot. David, Adrienne, Justin and Nicky came home to celebrate the Fairfax 125th Anniversary Celebration.

After David and Adrienne got here with Russ around 10 p.m., they went to town to meet an old friend and enjoy the activities. Justin and Nicky arrived in the early morning hours since they left their Forest Lake home after Justin had finished work-shift (which ends after 9 p.m.).

Today my youngsters came and went throughout the day, taking care of errands and checking out celebration activities like the car show. We stuck a hair cut for Justin in there some place. (What are Mom's for, if not to help the children save a couple bucks on a haircut!)

The weather was so nice, I had to fight the urge to mow lawn. I didn't want to get all dirty and not be around for when my company came around. Russ did use the (3020 JD) tractor mower to sickle mower to do some trimming around the farm though.

After the youngsters went to town this afternoon, I took time to catch up on some of my posting. But that was done after taking a SHORT bike ride while Russ was mowing. Doobie just insisted that I at least ride down to the end of the drive :). After getting back in the yard, she took a dip in the fish pond. I guess running to keep up with the bike made her warm!

Anna called today. She wanted to know if I'm available to babysit next Monday and Tuesday. I am, unlike last week when she called when I was in Moose Lake. It should be fun to see how Mitchell has grown. Just thinking of it makes me miss my grandbaby. I'm going to have to do something about that!

Well, the day has been an enjoyable. I hope yours was as enjoyable as mine!
