Misc. Tasks Accomplished

I took it easy all morning, since I awoke to a rain shower and knew I wasn't going to get any mowing done. I also hate walking through wet grass, making my shoes wet and gooshy. So, I procrastinated with getting much done till later. The
[RENVILLE COUNTY COUNTYWIDE CLEAN-UP] was planned for coming to Fairfax today. So, I knew I was going to need to gather some items from the barn today. So, I got busy around 12:30 p.m. and loaded up a stereo system one of the boys left behind that doesn't work. Also, I loaded up ALL the burnt out florescent bulbs that were left over from our Electrical business. I could also get rid of the ballasts that were piled up in the barn. Thus, they went too. Then I scouted the basement and other parts of the house, the barn and the shed to see if I could find other items that could go. Fortunately, there wasn't much else. That means I'm getting closer to getting those items off the place. (Last year, I got rid of 2 dishwashers plus some other items I can't recall.)

After finishing that chore, I took time to think about the pain-in-the-butt branches that were getting in my way when mowing north of the grove. So, armed with my chainsaw, I trimmed some branches - ground level. I think I was able to get 4 trees out of my way. With the Bob Cat Skid Steer loader and the chainsaw I was able to cut the trees down and clean them up before I was done tonight. Good thing too. Ronny says he is going to take the Bob Cat in for a tune up tomorrow (it's missing terribly). If I have a wild hair to cut any more trees down, I'll have to try to tame it and save it for after the Bob Cat comes home.
Hopefully, tomorrow I'll be able to get some more mowing done. I've heard the weather is to be windy and a chance of rain. So, I don't know if I can accomplish that tomorrow. Here's to hoping.
