Traveling up to Duluth

Colette and Alex came up to my place mid morning. She had in tow Alex's and her luggage, plus their bikes. (Russ took our bikes up to the trailer the previous weekend.)

Before Colette and Alex had come, I dug out the camping supplies that we'd need and packed my personal belongings. After they showed, we got all the items out to my car and started arranging their and my stuff in the car. We were taking my car cuz it's got a bit more room.

We got all the stuff packed into the car and the bikes on the bike rack on the back of the car in no time at all. We had plenty of time left over to get a meal before we headed out. And that's what we did.

Alex had an orthodontist appointment in New Ulm at 1:00 p.m. So, we headed up to Duluth area, via New Ulm on the route. I picked up some supplies from Target while Colette and Alex were at the appointment. Then we went on our way, leaving New Ulm around 2 p.m.

After a couple bathroom break stops enroute, we arrived in Moose Lake, MN at the trailer around 6 p.m. Colette, Alex and I then talked to the Camp Ground Manager, settling up on any campground fees required. And than Alex and Colette took a bike ride to stretch their legs. I went back to the trailer and took some time to be with Russ.

After Colette and Alex got back, we got the tent erected and attempted to get the air mattress blown up after supper. But, the air mattress pump wasn't working. So, I made supper, we ate and Colette and I proceeded to Cloquet's Walmart to pick up a new pump. Alex stayed behind with Russ and watched a ball game on t.v.

We got back after dark. We got the air mattress blown up and got Colette's and Alex's bedding ready for the night. Colette and Alex "toughed" it out, sleeping on the air mattress in the tent while Russ and I slept in the trailer.
